The Bug Doctor was started in 1987 by David Oswalt in Guntersville, Alabama as Budget Pest Control. Budget grew to service many residential and commercial properties in North Alabama. David’s son, Donny grew up learning the business and working under his father. He began servicing residential and commercial properties while in high school. Donny went on to receive a Doctorate in Entomology from Clemson University. In 2006 Donny, along with his family, returned to the area to take over the family business, renaming it as The Bug Doctor. Over the years The Bug Doctor has grown from a handful of employees to twenty plus, has increased its service area and service options.
